Your daily routine

Explanation

A daily routine is what you do every day: wake up, brush your teeth, have breakfast, go to work or college, come home, cook, sleep. Use the simple present and time words like "first", "then" and "after that".

Talking about your day is one of the best ways to practise. You know the facts already; you only need the words. Use the simple present ("I wake up") because these are habits.

MorningDayEvening and night
wake up (जागना)go to work / collegecome back home
get up (बिस्तर से उठना)take the bus / metrohave tea / snacks
brush my teethattend classes / meetingscook dinner
take a bath / showerhave lunchhelp the kids with homework
get readywork on the computerwatch TV / scroll my phone
have breakfasttake a short breakgo to bed / sleep

I wake up at six and get up at quarter past six.

Say it: ai WAYK up at SIKS and GET up at KWOR-ter paast SIKS

"Wake up" = open your eyes. "Get up" = get out of bed.

First, I make tea for everyone.

Say it: FURST, ai MAYK TEE for EV-ree-wun

Then I take a bath and get ready.

Say it: then ai TAYK a BAATH and get RED-ee

In India "take a bath" is common for a bucket bath. Abroad, people often say "take a shower".

I leave home at eight thirty.

Say it: ai LEEV HOME at AYT THUR-tee

It takes forty minutes to reach the office.

Say it: it TAYKS FOR-tee MIN-its to REECH the OF-is

After that, I have lunch with my colleagues.

Say it: AAF-ter THAT, ai hav LUNCH with my KOL-eegz

I usually go to bed at eleven.

Say it: ai YOO-zhoo-a-lee goh to BED at i-LEV-en

Think of it like this: Your routine is like a train route: the same stations every day in the same order. "First", "then" and "after that" are the station names that tell the listener where you are.
Careful: Say "have breakfast/lunch/dinner", not "do breakfast" or "take dinner". "Take lunch" is heard in India but "have lunch" is more natural.
Careful: Say "go to work", "go to school", "go home" (no "the" and no "to" before home). Not "go to home".
Tip: Record a one-minute voice note describing your day every evening for a week. Listen to the first and the last: you will hear the progress.
