What the service is
The Daily Toolbox provides free browser-based tools for resizing, compressing, converting, signing and combining images and documents; for converting bank statements and PDF tables to spreadsheets; for checking how resume software reads a CV; and a set of financial and everyday calculators. It also publishes a reference database of upload requirements published by various organisations.
The file tools and calculators do their processing in your browser: your files are not uploaded to our servers, and we do not receive, store or process them. See our Privacy Policy.
The requirements database is a reference, not authority
The published requirements are compiled from official sources and rechecked periodically, and each entry records when it was last checked and links to its source. They are provided for convenience only.
Requirements change without notice. Always confirm against the official source before submitting an application. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government, agency, examination board or portal referenced on this site. We cannot guarantee that a file produced here will be accepted by any particular organisation.
Calculators are estimates, not advice
Calculator results are mathematical estimates based on the figures you enter and the formulas and rules described on each page. They are not financial, tax, legal or medical advice. Tax rules and bank conventions change; each calculator shows when its rules were last verified. Confirm anything with real consequences with your bank, the relevant authority or a qualified adviser.
Converted statements and documents
Conversions are checked where the document allows it, for example, the statement converter verifies every running balance, but no extraction is guaranteed to be complete. Check converted figures against the original before relying on them.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site:
- To create, alter or process any document fraudulently, or to misrepresent your identity
- To process material you do not have the right to process
- To breach any applicable law or regulation
- To attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure
The tools alter the technical properties of a file, its dimensions, encoding and size. They are not intended to alter the substance of any document, and using them to do so may be a criminal offence.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet any particular requirement.
Keep your original files. Processing is destructive by nature and cannot be undone from the output.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, opportunity, or rejected application, arising from your use of this site.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property
The site's design, text and code are our property or used under licence. You retain all rights in the files you process, we never receive them, so we could not claim anything in them even if we wished to.
Advertising and third parties
This site may display advertising on its information pages (never on pages where you open files), and it links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of third parties.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
