Blur Faces and Number Plates in Photos

Faces are found automatically and blurred, pixelated or blacked out; draw a box over a number plate, a name or a screen to hide it too. Nothing is uploaded.

Your photo is not uploaded. Faces are found by a small model (MediaPipe, Apache-2.0) that runs in this browser tab. The saved photo has the areas truly hidden, not just covered by a layer.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Faces are found by a small model that runs in this browser tab, and the photo is changed here too.

Can the blur be undone by someone else?

The saved photo has the hidden areas truly changed, not a layer on top. A light blur of large text can sometimes still be guessed, so for numbers and names use a strong blur, pixelate, or a black box.

It missed a face. What can I do?

Drag on the photo to draw a box over it. Faces that are small, turned away or in shadow can be missed by the automatic search.

How do I hide a number plate?

Drag a box over the plate. Pixelate or Black box hide the letters best.
