Frequently asked questions

How is my speaking scored?

Your browser turns what you say into words; the tool compares them with the sentence, word by word. Green words were heard right; red ones were missed. 80% or more counts as said well.

Which browsers can listen to me?

Chrome and Edge on Android, Windows and Mac, and Safari on iPhone. In Chrome, the speech is turned into text by the browser’s own speech service; this site does not record or keep your voice.

Is it good for beginners?

Yes. Start at Beginner with short everyday sentences, each with its Hindi meaning. Move up when you get most sentences green.

How should I practise every day?

Open this page once a day: listen to each of Today’s 5 sentences, say it three times, then do Listen and type. Ten minutes a day builds the habit; your streak shows how many days in a row.
