Rotate and Flip Images

Turn a picture 90, 180 or 270 degrees or by any angle, straighten a tilted photo and mirror it left to right or upside down. Several at once, same format out. Nothing is uploaded.

JPG, PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC; several at once
Your pictures are not uploaded. They are turned in this browser tab and saved in their own format (JPG, PNG or WebP; HEIC as JPG), at full size. JPG is saved again at high quality, so a turned JPG is not byte-for-byte the original.

How to use it

  1. Choose one or more pictures.
  2. Turn left or right, use Straighten for a small angle, or flip.
  3. Download the picture, or all of them as a ZIP.

Good for

  • A phone photo that shows sideways on a website.
  • A tilted scan or horizon.
  • A mirrored selfie or webcam picture.

To cut a part out, use crop image. To turn PDF pages, use rotate PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is my picture uploaded?

No. It is turned inside this browser tab.

Does it keep the format?

Yes. JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG and WebP stays WebP, at full size. iPhone HEIC photos come out as JPG.

What happens to the corners when I straighten a photo?

Turning by an angle that is not a quarter turn leaves empty corners. Fill them with a colour (or leave them see-through in PNG), or choose Crop them away to keep only picture.

How do I mirror a selfie?

Turn on Mirror left to right. The picture is flipped as if seen in a mirror.

Does rotating a JPG lose quality?

It is saved again at high quality, so the change is very small, but the file is not byte-for-byte the original.
