A .docx document: its headings become slide titles
Nothing is uploaded. The document is read in this browser tab. Slides take the words, lists and pictures of the document, not its fonts and colours: the theme you pick sets the look. Charts and text boxes are left out. Every slide can be changed in the PPT maker before you save.

How to turn a Word document into a PowerPoint

  1. Choose your .docx file, or paste your text.
  2. Look through the slides and pick a theme and a slide size.
  3. Press Make the PowerPoint and download the .pptx, or edit the slides in the PPT maker first.

The slides open in PowerPoint, Google Slides and Keynote. To share them as a PDF, use PowerPoint to PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How are the slides made from my document?

Each Heading 1 starts a slide with that title (the first can be the title slide), each Heading 2 starts a slide or a section slide, as you choose. Paragraphs, list items and table rows become points; quotes become quote slides and pictures get slides of their own. A slide with too many points carries on to the next.

My document has no headings.

Use Word’s Heading 1 and Heading 2 styles for the slide titles and convert again, or paste the text instead: an empty line starts a new slide and the first short line of each block is its title.

Does it keep my fonts and colours?

No: the slides take the words and pictures, and the theme you pick gives them one clean look. You can change any slide in the PPT maker before saving.

Is my document uploaded?

No. It is read in this browser tab, and the PowerPoint file is made there too.
