Word to JPG: Save Word Pages as Images

Turn each page of a Word .docx into a JPG or PNG picture, at screen or print quality, all in one ZIP. Handy for WhatsApp and Instagram. Nothing is uploaded.

Private · on device. Runs in your browser: your file is not uploaded. No sign-up.

A .docx document from Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice
Your document is not uploaded. It is laid out page by page in this browser tab and each page is saved as a picture. The pages follow the document's headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and pictures; Word's own fonts, colours, text boxes and headers are simplified, so a page may break in a different place than in Word.

How to convert a Word document to JPG

  1. Choose your .docx file.
  2. Pick JPG or PNG and the quality.
  3. Press Save the pages and download the pictures: one picture for a one-page document, a ZIP for more.

To keep the document as one file, use Word to PDF. To change the text first, open it in the Word editor.

Frequently asked questions

Is my document uploaded?

No. It is read, laid out and drawn in this browser tab; the file never leaves your device.

Will the pages look exactly like in Word?

They follow the document: headings, paragraphs, bold and italic, alignment, lists, tables and pictures. Word’s own fonts, colours, text boxes, columns and headers are simplified, so a page can break in a different place than in Word. For an exact copy, save as PDF from Word and use PDF to JPG.

Which quality should I choose?

Screen (150 dots per inch) is sharp on phones and for WhatsApp. Print (300) makes large files for printing. Small (100) keeps the files light.

I have an old .doc file.

Open it in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice and save it as .docx first, then convert that.
