Resize PDF Pages to A4, Letter or Any Size

Change the page size of a PDF: A4, A3, A5, Letter, Legal or your own size, portrait or landscape, fitted or filled, with a margin. Text stays real text. Nothing is uploaded.

Any PDF: Letter to A4, A4 to A5, a scan to A4…
Your PDF is not uploaded. Each page is placed on the new paper as it is, so text, links and pictures stay sharp and selectable. Use "Fit" to keep everything, "Fill" to cover the whole page (edges may be cut).

How to resize PDF pages

  1. Choose the PDF.
  2. Pick the new paper size, or type your own in millimetres.
  3. Choose how the content fits and add a margin if you need one.
  4. Press Resize and download the new PDF.

To make the file smaller as well, use Compress PDF. To turn or reorder pages, use Organise PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Does resizing make the PDF blurry?

No. Each page is placed on the new paper as it is, not turned into a picture, so text and drawings stay sharp and the text can still be selected.

What is the difference between Fit, Fill and Stretch?

Fit shrinks or enlarges the page until it all fits, leaving white space if the shapes differ. Fill covers the whole new page, cutting a little off the edges. Stretch fills it exactly by changing the proportions (only for small differences).

How do I turn a US Letter PDF into A4?

Choose A4, keep "Same as each page" for the orientation and "Fit". A Letter page is a little wider and shorter than A4, so it fits with a thin band at the top and bottom.

Can I add a margin for printing or binding?

Yes. Enter a white margin in millimetres; the content is scaled to fit inside it.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. It is resized in this browser tab.
