Two or more videos (MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV); you can mix phones and sizes

How to join videos

  1. Choose two or more videos. You can select several at once, from a phone or a camera.
  2. On each video, drag the handles to keep only the part you want, or slide the lit part along. Press Play this part to watch it in the preview.
  3. Put them in order with the up and down arrows, and remove any you do not want.
  4. Choose no gap or a short black gap between videos, the size, the format, and whether to keep the sound.
  5. Press Join and save the video.

Different sizes and phones

Videos are fitted into the first video's frame without stretching, with black bars where the shapes differ. A video without sound gets silence, so the sound stays in step with the picture all the way through.

More editing

To crop for Reels, add text, change speed or put pictures between clips, use the video editor. To cut a single video, use trim video; to join songs, the audio joiner.

The engine behind this tool

Video and sound are processed by FFmpeg, the open-source engine behind most of the world's video software, compiled to run inside your browser as ffmpeg.wasm. It is downloaded from this site (about 31 MB) the first time you use a video or audio tool, and your browser keeps it for next time. FFmpeg and ffmpeg.wasm are free software, licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later; their source code is at github.com/ffmpegwasm/ffmpeg.wasm.

Frequently asked questions

Are my videos uploaded?

No. The videos are joined on your own device by FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, running inside this browser tab. The engine (about 31 MB) is downloaded from this site once and cached; your videos never leave your device.

Can I use only part of each video?

Yes. Each video in the list shows in full, with frames along it. Drag its handles to keep only the part you want, or drag the lit part itself to slide it along the video; the frame under the handle shows in the preview as you drag. "+ Another part" adds the same video again, for a second piece of it.

Can I join videos of different sizes, such as a phone video and a landscape one?

Yes. Every video is fitted into the frame of the first one, without stretching: where the shapes differ, black bars fill the rest. Put the video whose shape you want first, or choose 1080p, 720p or 480p.

What does the black gap do?

It puts half a second to 3 seconds of black picture and silence between every two videos, a clear pause between scenes. With No gap, each video starts the instant the previous one ends.

How long does it take?

The videos are re-encoded together on your device, so it takes roughly as long as the joined video plays on a recent laptop, and longer on a phone. Shorter parts make it faster.
