Every rule
- The image must be perfectly square, width and height equal.
- Colour photo taken within the last 6 months.
- Plain white or off-white background with no shadows.
- Neutral expression or a natural smile, both eyes open.
- No glasses. No hats or head coverings except for religious reasons worn daily.
- Head must occupy 50–69% of the total image height.

This is the minimum-size trap: the file must be at least 54 KB. Compressing too hard fails just as surely as not compressing enough.

Crop to a 1:1 ratio before uploading. A 4:3 phone photo will be refused even at the right pixel count.

Shoot facing a window with the wall behind you lit evenly. Shadows on the wall read as a coloured background.
